Inspiring creativity and developing children’s observation and awareness of the world around them is fundamental to their spiritual, cultural and social development and wellbeing.

Our art curriculum is designed with experimentation and progression of skills at its forefront, engaging each child to build confidence in their own creative ability. Children enjoy a wealth of opportunities to develop their curiosity, resilience and self-expression.

Pupils are introduced to the core art elements and explore an exciting range of skills and techniques, from drawing and painting to wire sculpture and ceramics. Weekly specialist Art teaching and technical support helps each child reach their full potential as an artist.

Our art facilities are exceptional and children create their marvellous art in a busy yet relaxed atmosphere. They are free to express their individuality, working independently as well as in groups and on larger scale collaborative projects.

We inspire a joyful exploration of media, allowing children the freedom to take risks and to find their own ways of working whilst enhancing their technical skills, knowledge and understanding of media and core elements.

We celebrate our children’s amazing achievements by displaying artwork around the school. We also exhibit at our own Annual Summer exhibition and at external exhibitions.
