Visiting a school is an important part of the decision-making process for families who are shortlisting schools for admissions applications. Families are warmly encouraged to visit Blackheath Prep to meet our pupils and staff, explore our facilities and get a sense of what it is like to be a child at Blackheath Prep.  

Family Open Days


We hold one Saturday Family Open Day during both the Autumn and Summer terms for prospective families.  Parents and children will have the opportunity to hear our Head talk about the school, meet staff, pupils and our Parents’ Association, as well as tour our extensive academic and co-curricular facilities.   

Our next Family Open Day will take place in the summer term on Saturday 18 May 2024, and in the autumn on Saturday 21 September 2024. We warmly invite families who are considering applying to the school across all year groups to attend one of our Open Days to tour the school and meet the senior leadership and admissions team.

Group Tours

Wednesday mornings 9.15am – 10.45am
We offer group tours of the school for prospective parents during term time, once a month on Wednesday mornings. During your visit you will join a guided tour, led by members of our Senior Leadership Team, to experience the whole school at work, from Nursery through to Year 6.

Each tour begins with a short presentation from our Head. These tours provide an opportunity to visit us on a working school day, and to ask questions about the school and our admissions process prior to or after registering your child.  These tours are for parents and carers only.

Spaces on Family Open Days and tours are limited and get booked up in advance. To reserve a place, please complete the online booking form.
