Blackheath Prep is a happy and thriving co-educational prep school for children aged 3 to 11. We are located in an idyllic setting on the edge of the heath close to Blackheath Village and our five-acre site offers superb specialist facilities, large playgrounds, forest school areas and extensive playing fields.

Year 5 places - register now

Places are now available for children wishing to join Blackheath Prep in Year 5 in September 2022.
There are many outstanding benefits to a Blackheath Prep education. A broad and rich curriculum, excellent preparation for the senior school application process, and superb pastoral care. Every year we achieve outstanding results with our senior school places and scholarship offers.

June 2022

In addition to Open Days in the Autumn and Summer terms, we hold regular tours of the school throughout the year. These usually take place on Wednesday mornings during term time and give prospective parents an opportunity to see the school in action as well as our facilities and extensive grounds.

Our school is the perfect size; not too small and not too big. We have lots of lessons like Drama, Music and Dance, as well as lessons like Maths, English and Science. I look forward to finding out what we’re learning each day and I especially enjoy singing. My three favourite things about school are the children and the teachers, lots of space to run around and all the great facilities.

We do lots of fun lessons like DT – I made a flowerpot and a butterfly in DT! I really enjoy planting seeds and I like learning new things. My favourite subject is Science because it’s really interesting. My three favourite things about school are DT, Science and Art.
