Visit Us – Open Days

Our Saturday Open Days are an excellent opportunity for prospective families and children to visit our school, meet staff and pupils, and tour our facilities.

Wednesday Open mornings – Tours for parents only on certain Wednesdays during term-time. 

Open events get booked up far in advance so we encourage you to register for a place as soon as possible.

Nursery places

Our main entry point for children joining Blackheath Prep is in the Nursery at 3+.

Please note, we do not have a 4+ Reception intake at Blackheath Prep.

7+ entry

We offer places at 7+ for children wishing to join our school in Year 3 and above.

Each year our Year 6 leavers achieve outstanding results, receiving excellent preparation for the 11+ and senior school application process. Read more about our 2024 results here.

We currently have a limited number of (full fee paying) places in Year 4 and Year 5 for September 2024 entry. The application deadline is Monday 20 May, 12 noon. Assessments take place on Monday 3 June. To apply click here.

Eltham College Family of Schools

Blackheath Prep is part of the Eltham College family of schools. Our pupils are able to access a ‘priority places’ process and sit the Eltham College entrance exam in the September of Year 6 ahead of external candidates. If they pass the entrance exam and accept an offer of a place, this enables the pupil to withdraw from the 11+ process. More information about the Eltham College admissions process is available here. We recognise that some parents may wish to consider a range of senior school options and there is no obligation on our families to send their children to Eltham College. Pupils who wish to include Eltham College as one of their options, alongside other schools, will sit the entrance exam in January as normal. All our Year 6 pupils receive the excellent preparation and support during the 11+ process.
