Open Days & Tours

Next Open Day – Saturday 16 May 2026.

Visiting a school is an important part of the decision-making process for families who are shortlisting schools for admissions applications. Families are warmly encouraged to visit Blackheath Prep to meet the Head, teaching staff and Admissions team, and enjoy a tour of our school and facilities to get a sense of what it is like to be part of the Blackheath Prep community.  

Open Days

We hold a Saturday Open Day in both the Autumn and Summer terms for prospective families.  Parents and children will have the opportunity to hear our Head talk about the school, meet staff, pupils and our Parents’ Association, as well as tour our extensive grounds and see the academic and co-curricular facilities.

Group Tours

Wednesday mornings 9.15am – 10.45am
We offer group tours of the school for prospective parents once a month during term-time. These tours provide an opportunity to visit us on a working school day, and to ask questions about the school and our admissions process prior to or after registering your child. During the visit there will be a short presentation from a member of the senior leadership team before a guided tour to experience the whole school at work, from Nursery through to Year 6.  

These tours are for parents and carers only. During the Autumn term, places on Wednesday tours are only available to parents who are applying for a place in the next 3+ and 7+ intake.

Spaces on Family Open Days and tours are limited and get booked up in advance.
