Farewell to our fabulous Y6 who leave us today. Many of them have been at Blackheath Prep since they were 3 years old and it's been a privilege to watch them grow over the years into the wonderful, talented young people they are. They will always be part of the Blackheath Prep community and we wish them well in the next exciting chapter in their lives.
Giant snails, snakes and huge toads were just some of the (not so small) mini beasts that visited Reception pupils in class today. Well done to them all for showing great courage in getting up close and being curious about the wonderful collection of creatures.
Pupils created a fabulous Garden of Hope in school last week, made entirely from egg boxes, newspapers, corks, bottles, cereal packets and other discarded material. Pupils re-purposed these recyclable and waste materials and created something beautiful to highlight global waste, plastic pollution and the links between hope, action and change.
During Cross-Curricular Week pupils produced a phenomenal amount of work using the Philippines and the theme of 'We Are All Changemakers' as their inspiration, with a particular focus on issues of environmental pollution and sustainabilty.
It's the Blackheath Prep PTFA Summer Fair tomorrow - Saturday 25 June 2022 11am - 2pm
Packed full of family fun to enjoy - a talent show, inflatables, giant bubble making, penalty shoot outs, games, art exhibition, storytelling, pizza and ice cream vans, gourmet burgers, Pimms, Prosecco, craft beers and much more...
Open to everyone in the local community. Do come and join us!
Reception pupils have been writing about what they think may be hatching inside the giant blue egg in their classroom. Some imaginative suggestions include a rainbow penguin and a baby unicorn. We'll have to wait and see...
We are delighted that from next academic year there will be a brand new look for Blackheath Prep's uniform, offering unisex choices and plenty of flexibility for pupils to mix and match items to their personal taste.
Our pupils are very excited about their new uniform and we can't wait to see them wearing it to school in September!
