Year 1 and Year 2 pupils were tasked with this month’s Challenge 200 event as part of our bicentenary celebrations and were challenged to use author and illustrator, Eric Carle’s artworks as the inspiration to create 200 collages. They used a variety of media to create colourful papers using a printed tools such as Duplo, corks, patterned rollers, and sponges. Once the papers had dried, it was time to start making the animals. The children had to look closely at images of animals and identify shapes of body parts that could be drawn and cut out. A variety of printed papers were used and were then carefully glued onto a white background to create some wonderful artwork. Well done!
